Pinterest helps somehow, someway

Pinterest is such a very interesting site to use because of all the information and ideas that it has on there from other people or even original websites. In a classroom pinterest can be used to help teachers or students come up with bright ideas and projects to do to get them started. Say for instance that a class has started and the children has finished all their work and teacher is looking for something else for them to do besides crossword puzzles or just coloring. The teacher can use her smart board and log on to pinterest so the children could see what she's doing. He or she can look up creative projects that involves thinking skills and creativity for students to do instead of just making them color a flower or a heart, etc.

On the link above is an activity that I have created and did myself. I've also had to use the help of pinterest to do the assignment to give me some ideas on where to head to with my work. I created the assignment to teach students on how to use pinterest to their best interest, knowledge and ability. The reason I have completed the assignment is to show the students that if I can do it then it really shouldn't be that hard for them to complete it as well. By doing this assignment myself I have learned that pinterest is a good reliable source to go to, to get ideas instead of using the internet all the time like a normal person would do. Explore around and look, you never know what you may come across. Below for you I will have photo's of step by step process in how I completed the project.

1. First, I had to find a painting from a different culture that I was most interested in.

2. Next, I searched around on google for websites that would break down the painting for me and tell me a little background information for my knowledge.
3.Then I went to google and signed in so I can log onto google slides to get ready to prepare my slideshow.

4. Finally, I put my slideshow together (more like a powerpoint). On the first slide there was a photo of the painting, the name of it and of course my name. On the second slide was a little bit of background information about the painting. While on the third slide was when the painting was created and published to the world. On the fourth slide was my opinion on why I thought the painting was important and the many aspects of it. On the last slide was what culture the painting was from and some background about that specific culture.
